Internship Information

Congressional offices provide excellent opportunities for students to learn more about the American system of government. Although constituents receive priority, applicants do not have to be residents of the 15th District. Please note that I typically receive many internship applications.

Interns are placed in my Washington and district offices. In my Washington office, interns work closely with my staff on a variety of legislative projects. Responsibilities include conducting legislative research, giving tours of the Capitol, responding to constituent inquiries, helping process tour and flag requests, opening and routing incoming mail, data entry, and performing general office duties.

The responsibilities of interns in the district offices include researching the many constituent inquiries for information concerning federal agencies and assisting staff. General office duties are also expected.

If you are interested in obtaining an internship, please contact the appropriate office for more information.
